Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Department

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients and up to 7:1 for behavioral health holds
- Utilize Cerner for clinical documentation and maintain accurate patient information on unit boards throughout each visit
- Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitoring equipment in accordance with unit protocols
- Demonstrate patient experience standards including AIDET framework and respectful, culturally competent communication with a diverse patient population
- Float within all sections of the Emergency Department as needed to meet departmental staffing requirements
- Collaborate with techs, cardiac monitoring unit staff, triage personnel, and unit clerks across all shifts
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with a minimum of 2 years of total nursing experience, including at least 1 year in an Emergency Department setting
- Experience in a Level II Trauma Center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits)
- ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required prior to start date
- ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic health records system
- Strong teamwork mentality with the ability to coach and provide real-time feedback; flexibility to work in all areas of the ED
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience within an HCA-affiliated facility
- Familiarity with Baxter pump and GE monitoring equipment operation
- Experience serving multilingual or multicultural patient populations
