Schedule / Job Type
Contract | Nights (18:45–07:15) | Every other weekend required | Holidays on a rotating basis | 2–3 on-call shifts per month
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Labor, Delivery, and Recovery (LDR) patients during night shift hours
- Float to Medical/Surgical unit as needed to support overflow patient census
- Monitor and interpret fetal monitoring data using intermediate or advanced competency
- Care for pediatric patients as required based on unit needs
- Participate in on-call rotation, including potential callback during scheduled shifts
- Adhere to all facility policies, including a nicotine-free facility requirement
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license
- AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required (candidates must be fully committed to obtaining PALS prior to start if not already held)
- Fetal monitoring class (intermediate or advanced) completed within the past 24 months
- Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery (LDR) experience
- Willingness to float to Medical/Surgical and care for pediatric patients
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 3+ years of LDR experience, preferably in a rural hospital setting
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Experience with EPIC electronic health records
