Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 17-bed telemetry/medical unit with patient ratios of approximately 1:6 (1:4 for Heart Cath patients)
• Manage and monitor patients requiring telemetry, including Heart Cath recovery and bubble studies
• Operate and manage PCA pumps, IV pumps, and chest tubes
• Administer and monitor medication drips and central line care
• Collaborate with a shift team consisting of 3–4 RNs and 2 Patient Care Techs
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid for the state of Kansas (or compact eligibility)
• Minimum 1 year of current, hands-on Telemetry hospital experience
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in large trauma or high-acuity facilities
• Previous experience with Meditech EMR
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to work independently
• Positive, engaged attitude and collaborative team approach
