Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Medical Oncology)

Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-acuity nursing care on a 36-bed Medical Oncology Telemetry unit with over 24 beds dedicated to PCU-level care
- Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and dysrhythmias using the GE B450 telemetry system
- Manage central lines, PICC lines, peripheral lines, PCA pumps, and continuous bladder irrigation
- Administer blood products and manage cardiac drips including titration
- Operate and monitor respiratory support equipment including CPAP/BiPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, and tracheostomy management
- Adhere to strict infection prevention protocols and patient fall prevention measures; float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as needed
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of acute care nursing experience, with at least 1 year of PCU experience
- Active, valid RN compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission
- Required certifications: Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale
- Demonstrated skills in IV insertion, port access, heparin protocols, feeding tube care, chest tube management, and ABG interpretation
- Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- 2 professional references required; at least 1 must be from a manager, director, or formal leadership role (charge RN acceptable for second reference; no coworker references)
- Locals are welcome and accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Oncology experience, including chemotherapy administration and monitoring
- Experience with IV insulin protocols, insulin drip titration, and arterial line management
- Wound care and wound VAC management
- Previous travel nursing experience
