Surgical Technologist – CVOR (Vascular & Endovascular)

Key Responsibilities
- Scrub vascular and endovascular surgical cases including open repairs and percutaneous approaches (EVAR, TCAR, iliac stents, carotid procedures, open peripheral bypasses, and open AAA)
- Demonstrate proficiency with hybrid room equipment including injectors, IVUS, wires, and sheaths
- Operate within a department consisting of 4 CVOR rooms and 1 hybrid room, utilizing equipment such as the Da Vinci robot
- Scrub open vascular and thoracic surgery cases; ability to scrub cardiac and non-CVOR cases (orthopedic and general surgery) is required
- Participate in on-call rotation during both weekdays and weekends
- Float occasionally to general surgery as needed
Required Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required — facility will not accept TS-C or grandfather situations
- BLS certification required (American Heart Association only)
- Minimum 2 years of surgical technologist experience at a similar-size hospital
- Demonstrated knowledge of wires, sheaths, and hybrid room procedures
- Must be available for on-call assignments during the week and on weekends
- Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible at the standard rate; candidates within 50 miles are welcome but will be subject to a reduced local rate
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience scrubbing open vascular and thoracic surgery cases
- Familiarity with hybrid room environments and endovascular equipment
- Comfort scrubbing cardiac, orthopedic, and general surgery cases in addition to CVOR
