Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR Core)

Contract | Days | 5x8-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care in a high-volume OR environment covering specialties including General, Plastics, GYN, ENT, Trauma, Neuro, Orthopedics, GU, Colorectal, and Robotics
• Perform circulator duties as a primary function throughout surgical procedures
• Float within scope to various OR service lines as needed to meet facility demands
• Fulfill on-call requirements as assigned, averaging 40–60 hours per six-week period
• Document patient care accurately using electronic health record systems
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary surgical teams to ensure patient safety and quality outcomes

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (in-state, compact, or temporary license required at time of start)
• Minimum of 3 years of OR RN experience
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Circulator experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Nursing degree from an accredited program (ACEN or CCNE accredited institution at time of graduation)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Scrub experience preferred
• Broad OR specialty experience across multiple service lines; well-rounded candidates strongly preferred
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records
