Registered Nurse – PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to pediatric patients ranging in age up to 25 years in an intensive care setting
- Perform epilepsy monitoring and deliver condition-appropriate interventions
- Administer inotropes and interpret EKG/ECG rhythms as required by patient care needs
- Complete ECG rhythm recognition and medication safety assessments during orientation with acceptable scores
- Participate in holiday rotation, working at minimum every other holiday
- Submit hours worked accurately through the designated time-tracking platform
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 18 months of permanent experience in PICU or the specialty being applied for
- Minimum 18 months of recent Pediatric nursing experience (travel experience accepted)
- Active and unrestricted permanent Ohio RN license or valid Compact State license in hand at time of submission
- Active AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required at time of submission
- EKG interpretation competency required
- One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director within the specialty from an assignment worked in the past 12 months
Preferred Experience / Skills
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Experience with epilepsy monitoring in a pediatric or specialized care environment
