Certified Surgical Tech – Operating Room

Contract | Days/Evenings | 12-Hour Shifts (11:00 AM – 11:30 PM)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scrub technician duties across a variety of surgical cases in the operating room
• Prepare and maintain sterile field before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Assist surgical team with instrumentation, supplies, and equipment throughout procedures
• Adhere to facility protocols, safety standards, and infection control guidelines
• Optional on-call availability during weeknight hours (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM, once per week) is welcomed but not required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Tech or Surgical Technologist
• Experience across a variety of surgical cases required
• BLS certification required
• NBSTSA registration (formal certification not required)
• Prior travel assignment experience required — first-time travelers will not be considered
• New graduates will not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Broad surgical case experience across multiple service lines
• Willingness to assist with optional on-call shifts during weeknight hours
• Strong adaptability and ability to integrate quickly into a new surgical team environment
