Contract (13- or 18-week) | Nights | 4x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | 36 or 48 hours per week | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Stepdown/PCU setting with a patient population including COPD, CHF, pneumonia, sepsis, DKA, and post-COVID patients
• Manage telemetry monitoring, IV drips (insulin, heparin, Cardizem, and others), and ventilator/trach/BiPAP patients in collaboration with Respiratory Therapy — ventilator experience required
• Read and interpret cardiac rhythm strips; complete an online EKG/telemetry competency assessment prior to assignment start — BLS and ACLS required
• Participate in a team nursing model, partnering with another nurse and a PCT to collaboratively manage a group of patients; may also function in a primary nursing role depending on unit needs
• Float within specialty clusters or to other units/campuses as directed, including potential ED boarder assignments; traveler is first to float at facility discretion
• Maintain availability to work every other weekend and every other holiday throughout the contract

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (any state) or valid compact RN license in good standing; no prior license disciplinary actions
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Demonstrated Stepdown or PCU experience with documented 1:5 patient ratio experience — ICU experience alone does not qualify
• Ventilator experience required
• Proficiency in Epic EMR required
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Minimum 1.5 years of RN experience; experience in a Level 1 or Level 2 facility preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
