Registered Nurse – ICU (Critical Care Float Pool)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)
Key Responsibilities
- Float across a variety of critical care units based on staffing needs and patient acuity, including Neuro ICU, Surgical ICUs, Medical ICUs, Cardiology/Diagnostics, CVICU, SICU, MICU, and NCCU
- Provide high-acuity nursing care in accordance with unit-specific protocols and patient needs
- Perform IV starts, telemetry monitoring, and ventilator management
- Float within units of equivalent or lower acuity per float pool policy
- Accurately document patient care and assessments using EPIC
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license – compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Proficiency with EPIC required
- Demonstrated experience with IV starts, telemetry, and ventilator management
- Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
- Local candidates are welcome and accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
- Experience floating across multiple critical care unit types
- Familiarity with high-acuity neuro, surgical, and cardiovascular ICU environments
