Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Contract | Travel | 13-Week Assignment | Shift: 12:45 PM – 1:15 AM | Every other weekend required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a high-volume Emergency Department with up to 101 beds and patient ratios of 4:1 (medical) and up to 7:1 for behavioral holds
- Utilize Cerner for clinical documentation and Baxter pumps and GE monitors for patient care delivery
- Practice AIDET communication standards, maintain patient experience boards, and keep patients informed throughout their visit
- Float to all sections within the Emergency Department as needed, including cardiac monitoring, internal processing, and triage areas
- Demonstrate teamwork, provide real-time coaching and feedback, and maintain flexibility across all ED areas
- Serve a diverse, multi-cultural patient population with professionalism and respectful, inclusive care
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with at least 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
- Experience in a Level 2 Trauma Center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED (100,000+ annual visits)
- Required certifications prior to start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, and NIHSS
- ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
- Navy scrubs required as dress code
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Previous experience with HCA-affiliated facilities
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system
- Experience working in a high-acuity, high-volume emergency department environment
