Contract | Night Shift (3x12 Hours, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide progressive care nursing on a PCU/Stepdown unit serving patients with oncology diagnoses, surgical recovery, COPD, sepsis, pneumonia, and related conditions
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and manage dysrhythmias using strong telemetry skills
• Administer and manage IV insulin protocols and insulin drips
• Float within the facility as required to support staffing needs across units
• Work every other weekend, including Friday and Saturday nights
• Maintain BLS and ACLS certifications as required throughout the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Active, valid RN license – compact or Ohio state license required and must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience (note: candidates with exactly 1 year of experience are subject to manager review and are not eligible for automatic placement)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Current or former employees of any Ohio State University hospital location must have been separated from the facility for at least 6 months prior to being eligible for a travel assignment
• Locals are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous telemetry experience strongly preferred
• Experience with IV insulin protocols and insulin drips
• Background in oncology or caring for patients with active oncology diagnoses, including solid tumor and hematology
• First-time travelers are encouraged to apply
