Key Responsibilities

• Provide clinical services within the Urgent Care Department, working alongside providers, clinic staff, and management to ensure excellent quality of care and efficient utilization of resources
• Offer leadership and direction to clinic staff, ensuring efficient operation of all aspects of the clinic including front desk and patient care
• Clearly and correctly document all care and services provided in a timely and professional manner
• Maintain medication inventory, supplies, and ensure necessary quality control checks are completed for Point of Care tests
• Assist providers and other staff as needed, anticipating needs to ensure efficient and quality patient care
• Communicate effectively with other departments and adhere to infection control policies, safety standards, and mandatory training requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active, full, and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Alaska — required at time of submittal
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum of 2 years of urgent care experience, with experience must be within the last 2 years
• Proof of Flu Vaccine required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong knowledge of nursing process and ability to apply it in a clinical environment
• Experience with Point of Care testing and specimen collection
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced ambulatory care setting
• Effective oral and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
