Contract (13 or 26 Weeks) | Nights | 3x12 or 4x12 Hours (19:00–07:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit, including management of inductions, antepartum, and OB triage patients
• Support a unit encompassing OB Triage, LDR rooms, OR suites, and PACU rooms with an average of up to 14 patients daily
• Perform third-trimester testing and manage triage patient influx in the OB Triage setting
• Float to like units within the facility or affiliate locations as needed to meet staffing requirements
• Work every other weekend as part of the standard schedule
• Participate in charge nurse responsibilities; charge experience preferred or willingness to train as charge required

Required Qualifications

• Active Alaska RN license required (pending license accepted for submission; license must be in hand for offer)
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Minimum 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience; first-time travelers accepted
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must provide 2 references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years prior to start
• Hepatitis B vaccine required; titers and declinations are not accepted
• Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; locals are not accepted
• Travelers may work a maximum of 1 calendar year per assignment; a minimum 6-month break is required before returning to the same facility
• Must be willing to work 2 out of 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
• All requested time off must be submitted at the time of candidate submittal

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior charge nurse experience in a Labor & Delivery or similar OB setting
• Experience in high-risk OB environments including antepartum and OB triage
• Familiarity with high-volume delivery units averaging 7–14 patients per day
