Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Float Pool)

Contract | Days, 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite | Float Pool

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across Med/Surg Intermediate and PCU departments as part of a float pool, rotating between approximately 5 units and multiple metro area campuses as needed
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to emergent situations on the unit
• Care for patients with conditions including sepsis, renal failure, stroke, AFIB, GIB, neuro stepdown, pre/post cardiac cath, ETOH, SI, wound care, and COVID
• Perform and interpret 12-lead EKGs and operate unit technology including Virtual Nurses, AirVo, Voalte, and Omnicell systems
• Fulfill holiday shift and Charge RN assignments as needed per unit rotation
• Complete 8 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule period (combination of Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; both Kansas and Missouri licensure (or compact license covering both states) required at time of submission
• Minimum 1–2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers considered
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring, cardiac monitoring, neuro stepdown, and MS/Tele work settings
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to be eligible; no local candidates accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS certification preferred
• Experience with sheath removal (cardiovascular)
• Feeding tube care and management
• IV therapy skills including port access, blood product administration, and central line care/management
