Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on Medical Surgical units serving a diverse patient population including Medicine, Colorectal Surgery, Urology Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Orthopedic Reconstruction (Hip and Knee Replacement/Revision), Bariatric Surgery, General Surgery, and Orthopedic Spine Surgery
- Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–5
- Float between Medical Surgical units within scope to meet facility needs
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
- Participate in every 4th weekend rotation as required
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Missouri or a qualifying compact state (pending licensure may be considered; compact license must match permanent residence)
- Minimum 1.5 years of Medical Surgical nursing experience
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required to be obtained by compliance deadline
- Expected weekly hours: 36
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Experience with EPIC charting system
- Background in surgical specialties such as orthopedic, bariatric, or colorectal nursing
- Prior travel nursing experience
