- Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery (Travel)
Location
- Fredericksburg, VA
Schedule / Job Type
- Travel, Night Shift, 13-week assignment, 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialized nursing care to laboring and delivering patients in a busy L&D unit.
- Assist with inductions, cesarean sections, spontaneous vaginal deliveries, and other obstetric procedures.
- Monitor fetal and maternal health using advanced equipment, including GE monitoring and wireless fetal monitoring devices.
- Administer medications and interventions such as IV pumps, epidurals, PCA, and other anesthetic management.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and positive outcomes.
- Document all patient care activities accurately in the electronic medical record (Meditech).
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia or appropriate state licensure.
- Current certification in Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a labor and delivery setting.
