Contract (13 Weeks) | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 36–48 Hours per Week | Weekends Required | Every Other Holiday Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting, including patients with pediatric presentations
• Deliver evidence-based nursing interventions across a high-acuity patient population
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure timely assessment, treatment, and disposition of ED patients
• Float within scope of practice to other units as staffing needs require
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation using Epic electronic health records
• Adhere to all facility compliance policies, including scheduling, time-off, and orientation module requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (pending license accepted; must be in hand by the Wednesday before start date)
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
• TNCC required (may submit with TNCC pending, but must obtain before start date)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience required; must include at least 1 year of Level 1 or 2 years of Level 2 experience, including some pediatric experience
• Epic experience required
• Nursys verification required at time of submission
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible (locals are not accepted for this unit)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Experience in a high-volume or trauma-level emergency department
• Comfort managing a diverse patient population including pediatric cases
