Registered Nurse IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Schedule / Job Type

• Travel, Night shifts, 12.5 hours per shift, 3 shifts per week, 10-week assignment

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the stepdown unit.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to clinical changes promptly.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Document patient information accurately and efficiently in electronic health records.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and safety standards.

Required Qualifications

• Valid registered nurse (RN) license in North Carolina or ability to obtain.
• At least 2 years of recent RN experience in a stepdown or telemetry unit.
• Ability to work night shifts and stay alert during long shifts.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a Level II trauma center or comprehensive stroke unit.
• Experience with cardiac and interventional procedures.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records systems.
