  • Travel Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (L&D)

Location

  • Richmond, VA

Schedule / Job Type

  • Travel, 13-week assignment
  • Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
  • 3 shifts per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to obstetric patients in a Labor and Delivery unit.
  • Assist with labor, delivery, recovery, and triage procedures.
  • Support antepartum care and circulating for C-section procedures.
  • Aid in first-hour neonatal care and breastfeeding support.
  • Utilize equipment such as fetal monitors, Novii monitors, and EMR systems.
  • Adhere to unit policies and maintain patient safety and comfort.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia.
  • Current (within past 2 years) Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring certification.
  • L&D experience in a hospital setting.
  • Current NRP and BLS certifications required.
  • Experience in facilities with more than 3,000 annual births preferred.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Prior work in high-volume maternity units.
  • Knowledge of patient-centered care approaches.
  • Familiarity with advanced obstetric equipment and procedures.
