Contract | 12-Hour Night Shifts | Onsite | Monday–Sunday rotation based on unit needs; every other weekend minimum required; no block schedules

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 14-bed ICU setting for adult patients (18+) with diagnoses including sepsis, respiratory failure, DKA, ETOH withdrawal, CHF, dysrhythmias, NSTEMI, PE, GI bleed, and COVID
• Manage critical care equipment and procedures including ventilator support, central lines, PICC lines, A-lines, chest tubes, PCA, and arterial blood gases
• Titrate medications, assist with cardioversion, bronchoscopy, conscious/moderate sedation, intubation/extubation, and RSI
• Interpret telemetry and dysrhythmias; perform phlebotomy, IV therapy, EKGs, blood administration, and NG tube placement and management
• Respond to rapid response calls, code blues, and OB critical responses hospital-wide
• Float to med/surg or the emergency department to care for ICU-level boarders as needed based on census

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be on file at time of submission
• Minimum of 3 years of clinical ICU experience
• AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification required prior to start
• EPIC EMR experience within the past 2 years — required and non-negotiable
• Reliable personal or rental transportation required; all-season or snow tires strongly recommended November through April (public transportation is not accessible in this area)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CCRN certification preferred
• AHA PALS certification preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
