Certified Surgical Technologist – CVOR (Scrub)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 40 hours per week | Shifts occur between 6:30 a.m. and 11:00 p.m. based on staffing needs | Schedule consists of two 8-hour shifts and two 12-hour shifts per week | Weekend rotation distributed equitably among staff | On-call duties included and distributed equitably among staff

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scrub role in cardiovascular operating room procedures including CABG, EVAR, TEVAR, and valve replacement surgeries
• Apply and maintain strict aseptic technique throughout all surgical procedures
• Assist with thoracic and vascular surgical cases in a high-acuity environment
• Operate and document use of surgical equipment including crash cart functions
• Perform cardiovascular and thoracic instrument reprocessing as required
• Participate in on-call rotation as part of contract obligations

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of total Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) experience
• Minimum 2 years of cardiac and vascular surgical experience
• Minimum 1 year of CVOR-specific experience
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a Level I Trauma facility
• Scrub experience required
• Active BLS certification required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health records charting system
• Experience with cardiovascular and thoracic instrument reprocessing
• Familiarity with general OR, thoracic, and vascular procedures beyond CVOR
