Contract | 13-Week Assignment | 36 Hours per Week | 12-Hour Night Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Three Days per Week | Every Other Weekend Required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Telemetry/Cardiac unit in an acute care hospital setting
- Monitor and manage patients requiring cardiac telemetry and continuous cardiac drip administration, including Heparin, Lasix, and Cardizem
- Assist with TR Band management for patients arriving straight from procedure
- Support the Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation process in accordance with unit protocols
- Float to all acute care units as needed based on staffing requirements
- Adhere to holiday scheduling requirements based on unit needs
Required Qualifications
- Active Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry nursing experience
- Demonstrated experience with TR Band management directly post-procedure
- Experience administering cardiac drips (Heparin, Lasix, Cardizem, and similar agents)
- Familiarity with the Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation process
Preferred Experience / Skills
- 2–5 years of Telemetry nursing experience
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system
