Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Monitor and interpret telemetry, including dysrhythmia interpretation, bedside monitoring with telemetry, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry
- Float within scope of practice to other units as needed to meet facility staffing needs
- Participate in every-other-weekend rotation as a non-negotiable scheduling requirement
- Operate within a unit supported by 24/7 house supervisor coverage, with leadership accessible during off-shift hours by phone
- Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health records
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing experience
- Active South Carolina RN license or a Compact RN license valid in South Carolina, required prior to start
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
- Demonstrated experience with telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Ability to commit to every-other-weekend scheduling requirement
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience in a community hospital setting
- Comfort working on a newer, growing unit in an evolving team environment
