Operating Room Technician – OR Tech (Cardiovascular)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Monday through Sunday (no block schedules)

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scrub technician duties in cardiovascular and other surgical cases, including single scrub capacity in CT cases
• Float across surgical service lines as required, including ortho, robotics, general surgery, ENT, plastics, and neuro
• Participate in call coverage as required and work weekends as needed
• Work 2 out of 4 designated holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day
• Attend bi-weekly orientations held on Mondays

Required Qualifications

• Active NBSTSA certification (Certified Surgical Technologist)
• AHA BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience
• Prior travel assignment experience required
• Large teaching hospital experience required
• Level 1 trauma experience within the last year, with at least 1 year of that experience in a Level 1 trauma setting
• Experience in single scrub capacity for cardiovascular/CT cases required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• CNOR certification preferred
• Broad surgical knowledge base spanning multiple service lines including ortho, robotics, ENT, plastics, and neuro
