Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | Full-Time | Onsite
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a 16-bed Labor and Delivery unit with patient ratios of 1:1 and 1:2
- Assist with and support vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and hysterectomy procedures
- Utilize electronic fetal monitoring equipment and document care using Cerner EMR and Fetal Ink
- Deliver immediate newborn care and manage high-risk obstetric patients
- Operate Baxter infusion pumps and other unit-specific equipment in accordance with facility protocols
- Float to related units including MFMU, MOMB, and NICU as needed and upon approval
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience
- High-risk obstetric patient care experience
- Demonstrated competency in immediate newborn care
- Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- Current BLS/ALS and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certifications
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Circulating experience in the Labor and Delivery setting
- Outgoing, friendly, and adaptable personality well-suited to a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
