Nuclear Medicine Technologist – Radiology/Cardiology

Contract | 4x10-Hour Days | 06:00–16:30 | Expected 40 hours/week | No Call, No Float, No Weekend Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Perform nuclear cardiology studies including Rest/Stress testing and Amyloid (PYP) imaging in an outpatient cardiology setting
- Conduct myocardial perfusion imaging including Exercise/Rest (Multiple and Single) and Pharmacological Stress protocols
- Start and maintain peripheral IV access as required for patient procedures
- Safely handle, store, and dispose of radioactive materials in compliance with applicable regulations using hot lab equipment, dose calibrators, and well counters
- Operate Spectrum Dynamics DSPECT cameras and document patient care using EPIC
- Provide care for adult and geriatric patient populations presenting with diagnoses such as Coronary Artery Disease, chest pain, shortness of breath, and pre-op clearance needs
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Nuclear Medicine Technologist experience required
- Demonstrated experience in Adult and Nuclear Cardiology work settings
- Proficiency in Rest/Stress and Amyloid (PYP) studies required
- Proficiency in Exercise/Rest-Multiple, Exercise/Rest-Single, and Pharmacological Stress myocardial imaging required
- Active BLS certification required
- ARRT(N) or CNMT certification required
- Active NC license or compact license; candidates with a pending license are eligible for submission
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are welcome; a reduced rate applies
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior outpatient clinic experience preferred
- ACLS certification preferred
