Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Palliative Care)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a palliative care unit focused on symptom management for patients with serious illness, including uncontrolled pain, severe nausea/vomiting, failure to thrive, and fatigue
• Support patients in achieving improved quality of life while still undergoing active treatment
• Monitor and manage high-acuity medical surgical patients with complex care needs
• Float to other units of equivalent or lower acuity as required by staffing needs
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using the EPIC electronic health record system

Required Qualifications

• Active, valid RN license (compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care RN experience
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record system
• Nursing education from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Ability and willingness to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous travel nursing experience strongly preferred
• Background or interest in palliative care nursing
• Experience in high-acuity medical surgical environments
