Surgical Technologist – Operating Room

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the circulator and surgeon in the care of the surgical patient throughout operative procedures
• Maintain a safe and sterile environment for the patient at all times under the direction of qualified operating room personnel
• Fulfill on-call requirements including one weeknight call per week and weekend call every fifth weekend
• Ensure compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care

Required Qualifications

• Current Surgical Technologist certification or equivalent credentialing
• Experience in an operating room or surgical setting
• Ability to fulfill on-call obligations as outlined by the position
• Knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a hospital-based operating room environment
• Familiarity with a broad range of surgical specialties and procedures
• Strong ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team
