Travel RN – ED Flow Navigator | Emergency Room

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Days | 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM | Every other weekend required

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as an ED Flow Navigator in a high-volume emergency department with 101 beds, supporting patient throughput and flow across all sections of the ED
• Maintain patient ratios of 4:1 for medical patients, with flexibility up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
• Utilize Cerner for clinical documentation and Baxter pumps and GE monitors for patient care
• Uphold patient experience standards including AIDET, respectful behavior, and keeping patient boards and communication updated throughout each visit
• Coach and provide real-time feedback to staff while demonstrating a strong teamwork mentality
• Float as needed within all sections of the ED (no floating outside of the ED)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, including at least 1 year in an emergency room setting
• ACLS required prior to start date
• BLS required prior to start date
• PALS required prior to start date
• TNCC required prior to start date
• CPI required prior to start date
• NIHSS required prior to start date
• ENPC required within 90 days of hire
• Navy scrubs required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2+ years of experience in a Level II trauma center or comprehensive stroke center
• Experience in a high-volume ED with more than 100,000 annual visits
• Previous experience with HCA facilities
• Ability to work flexibly across all areas of a large emergency department
