Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Acute Care Surgery PCU)

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00) | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an Acute Care Surgery Progressive Care Unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Document accurately using EPIC electronic health records (required)
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed
• Complete all required facility orientation modules by the Friday of orientation week
• Fulfill a minimum of 2 holidays per contract period

Required Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submittal
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
• EPIC charting experience required
• 2 professional references required
• Must be available to work every other weekend
• Must work a minimum of 2 holidays per contract
• Candidates must comply with facility background check and review policies; ER and Psych candidates are subject to fingerprinting per Virginia state code (results must be received prior to start date)
• Local candidates are welcome and accepted at the same base rate — no radius restrictions apply

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Prior experience in a PCU, stepdown, or IMC setting
• Familiarity with post-surgical patient populations
