Contract | Days, 4x10-Hour Shifts (Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM) | On-call and weekend on-call required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled perioperative nursing care within a cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) setting at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma acute care hospital
- Float within scope of practice to meet facility needs as required, including potential float to nearby sister facilities
- Participate in on-call rotation, including weekend on-call coverage
- Utilize Epic electronic health record system for clinical documentation
- Commit to working 3 of 5 designated holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
- Complete required facility modules prior to start and during orientation
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Alaska; compact license must be in hand at time of submission (pending Alaska RN license may be considered, though active license strongly preferred)
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience required
- Must provide 2 professional references covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years (may include Charge RNs or Leads)
- Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Active Alaska RN license already in hand at time of submission
- Prior experience working in a Magnet-designated or Level II Trauma facility
- Familiarity with Epic electronic health record system
