Respiratory Therapist – Peds/Adult (Respiratory/Neuro Diagnostics)

Contract (13 or 26 Weeks) | 3x12-Hour Shifts, Variable (Days: 7:00–19:00 / Nights: 19:00–7:30) | Onsite | Weekend availability required | Must be available to work major holidays, including Christmas

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services across NICU (Level 3, 66-bed), PICU (9-bed), and Adult ICU (28-bed) settings, as well as floor therapy
• Administer a full range of RT therapies including NIV, high flow, nebulizers, CPT, nitric oxide, and Flolan nebulizer treatments
• Operate and manage ventilators including Draeger (adult), Servo-I (PICU/NICU), 3100A, 3100B, and Jet ventilators (NICU)
• Support care for trauma patients in a Level II Trauma facility treating both adult and pediatric populations
• Float within scope to cover NICU, PICU, and Adult units as facility needs require
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Level 3 or Level 4 NICU or PICU experience — HARD STOP requirement
• Active Alaska state respiratory therapy license (or valid compact license) must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• CRT required
• Trauma experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• ACLS, NRP, PALS, and/or RRT certifications preferred
• Experience across all levels — Level 3 NICU, PICU, and Adult ICU — strongly desired
• Familiarity with Puritan Bennett, Draeger, and Servo-I ventilator platforms
• Prior experience in a Magnet-designated or teaching hospital environment
