Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Oncology/BMT unit serving patients with solid tumors (lung, breast, pancreatic), leukemia, and bone conditions, with an average patient stay of 3–5 days
• Perform IV starts, access ports and central lines, and provide trach care
• Administer chemotherapy per scope of practice and applicable certifications; provide post-treatment patient care
• Operate CAD pumps and other specialized unit equipment
• Pass required Relias EKG exam; demonstrate interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
• Float within service line as needed to meet facility staffing requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (MO or compact); IL license must be in hand at time of submittal
• ACLS and BLS certifications required (ACLS must be obtained by compliance document deadline)
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; first-time travelers considered
• Ability to pass Relias EKG exam prior to start
• Charting proficiency; facility uses EPIC
• Must live more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Experience with BMT (bone marrow transplant) patients
• Chemotherapy administration certification
• Stem cell transplantation experience
