Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every other weekend required | Holidays as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to a primarily Medical Surgical population, including observation patients, respiratory conditions, general medical surgical diagnoses, palliative, end-of-life, and hospice patients
• Care for psychiatric observation patients, diabetic patients (including newly diagnosed and those with complications), surgical patients, and surgical observation cases
• Demonstrate competency in telemetry monitoring; all RNs must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• Document patient care accurately using the EPIC electronic medical records system
• Float to other campus locations within the health system as needed
• Complete unit-based orientation modules as assigned (non-billable, typically 2–4 hours, completed during orientation)

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be in hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed), regardless of specialty
• Third-party education verification required; degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list will not be accepted
• No open background check cases permitted
• Current driver's license required to verify address
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
• Requested time off (RTO) must be submitted with the application; no post-submission RTO accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience as a Charge RN
