Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Evening/Mid Shift (14:45–03:15) | Every other weekend required (Friday & Saturday nights); expected minimum of 2 Sundays and 2 Mondays per schedule | No block scheduling

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting
• Perform accurate and timely clinical documentation using Cerner (required)
• Recognize and respond to lethal cardiac rhythms; candidates must pass an EKG exam on orientation day with a score of 80% or higher
• Float to other competent units within the facility as needed
• Complete all required HealthStream modules prior to start and meet ongoing module deadlines throughout the assignment
• Complete required CEUs for ED/ER placement: 4 stroke, 8 trauma, and 4 cardiac CEUs

Required Qualifications

• Valid Missouri RN license or compact RN license — must be active at time of submission (no pending licenses accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience
• Travel nursing experience required; candidates with at least 2 years of ER experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis
• Cerner experience required — no exceptions
• Current (not pending) American Heart Association certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, and TNCC</strong>; CPI certification will be required beginning January 2026
• EKG CEU completion required; candidates must pass an EKG competency exam on orientation day with a minimum score of 80%
• Locals are welcome and accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience in an Emergency Room setting
• Familiarity with stroke, trauma, and cardiac protocols
• Demonstrated ability to float and adapt to multiple units within an acute care environment
