Contract (13 or 26 weeks) | Nights | 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) setting during night shift hours
• Adhere to infant-driven feeding protocols; Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification is required
• Float within scope of practice to other units as needed per facility policy
• Participate in weekend scheduling, with an expected 3 weekends per 6-week scheduling period
• Fulfill holiday coverage expectations, including an expected 2 of 3 winter holidays worked
• Complete specialty-specific orientation modules as assigned during onboarding

Required Qualifications

• Active or pending Virginia RN license (must be in hand by the Wednesday prior to start date)
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification must be in hand at time of submission
• Dr. Brown's Infant Driven Feeding Certification required (may be submitted as pending)
• Epic EMR experience required
• Nursys verification required at time of submission
• References required
• This unit does not accept local candidates — candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Prior travel nursing experience in a NICU setting
• Familiarity with infant-driven feeding protocols and neonatal care standards
