Key Responsibilities

• Provide procedural coverage across interventional radiology, invasive cardiology, peripheral vascular, and EP device implant procedures, with an approximately 85% IR / 15% cardiology split
• Scrub and circulate for procedures; participate in weekly staff rotation covering all services within the department
• Participate in 24/7 on-call coverage for STEMI, emergent, and urgent IR and cardiology procedures; 30-minute callback required for STEMIs
• Operate and assist with specialized equipment including MAC Lab, IVUS, Toshiba Angio Lab, Angio Jet, Penumbra Thrombectomy System, Radiofrequency Ablation Unit, and Sono Site ultrasound, among others
• Document and chart using the EPIC electronic health records system
• Maintain expected patient ratios of 1:3–4 and adhere to all unit scheduling and call requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active NC RN license or valid Compact RN license (pending licensure acceptable at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (IR) experience required
• Demonstrated ability to scrub, circulate, and monitor telemetry; prior STEMI call experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, NIH Stroke Scale
• Must pass EKG testing prior to start
• Local candidates (within 50 miles of the facility) are welcome to apply; a lower rate applies

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with IV starts and triage
• Proficiency with PA lines and conscious sedation
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system
