Key Responsibilities

• Perform and document comprehensive patient assessments, incorporating cultural, age-specific, and developmental considerations in accordance with RN scope of practice and department policies
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, including identifying patient risk factors, prioritizing needs, and determining desired outcomes in coordination with patients, families, and the inter-professional team
• Initiate and carry out patient care therapies and procedures with clinical autonomy, recognizing and communicating changes in patient condition in a timely manner
• Facilitate admission, transfer, and discharge activities, including execution of discharge orders, coordination with Case Management, and provision of patient and family education
• Delegate tasks appropriately and monitor the accuracy and completeness of care provided by other team members
• Actively participate in unit-based quality improvement activities, including patient satisfaction initiatives, fall prevention, pressure ulcer monitoring, and documentation auditing

Required Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kentucky
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN) required
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all members of the care team
• Proficiency with or ability to be trained on relevant computer systems and clinical applications

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous nursing experience in an emergency or acute care setting
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
