Contract | 13 Weeks | Days, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Expected 36–48 hours/week | Every other weekend required (approximately 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 30-bed cardiac medical-surgical unit with a 6:1 patient ratio
• Perform and document telemetry application, acknowledge rhythm strips, and place in chart each shift
• Manage cardiac drip medications including Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, and Amiodarone
• Perform and assist with unit procedures including chest tube management, wound vac management, and ad lib EKGs
• Conduct bedside and hourly rounding utilizing the 5P framework; communicate patient needs to PCTs at shift start and throughout the shift
• Float to other medical-surgical areas (general M/S, Ortho, PCU, M/S Surgical with Oncology) on a rotating basis unless skill mix requires otherwise

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Proficiency with Meditech (HCA version) documentation system and Pyxis ES dispensing system

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Cardiac nursing knowledge and experience
• Experience managing cardiac drips (Heparin, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Amiodarone)
• Familiarity with GE Telemetry monitoring systems
• Experience with chest tube and wound vac management
