Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM) | Onsite | Every Other Weekend | Holidays as Needed

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for a primarily Medical Surgical population on a telemetry-capable unit
• Manage patients with respiratory conditions, general medical surgical diagnoses, diabetes, surgical and surgical observation cases, and palliative, end-of-life, and hospice care
• Monitor and care for psychiatric observation patients as assigned
• Utilize the EPIC electronic health records system for documentation and care coordination
• Float to other facility campuses within the health system as needed
• Complete unit-based orientation modules as required during onboarding

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Must pass a Pass/Fail EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts permitted; study materials not provided)
• EPIC electronic health records experience required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility location (no local candidates accepted); current driver's license must be submitted to confirm address

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience as a Charge RN
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and EKG interpretation
