Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Medical ICU setting with diagnoses including oncologic emergencies, COPD, pneumonia, ARDS, GI bleed, sepsis, pulmonary hypertension, and autoimmune disorders
• Manage and monitor patients requiring mechanical ventilation, arterial pressure monitoring, cardiac monitoring, and pulmonary artery catheter placement
• Administer complex medication regimens including chemotherapy and support procedures such as CRRT, plasmapheresis, and central venous catheter management
• Assist with or support bronchoscopy and endoscopy procedures for patients with underlying pulmonary and gastrointestinal conditions
• Perform IV starts and maintain accurate, timely documentation using EPIC (required)
• Participate in clinical trials and adhere to established protocols for hemodynamically compromised patients

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license – compact or Ohio state license must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required; first-time travelers are not eligible
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIH Stroke Scale certification required
• Nursing education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• Locals are accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Proficiency with mechanical ventilators in an ICU environment
• Experience with CRRT, plasmapheresis, and pulmonary artery catheters
• Prior travel nursing experience in a high-acuity medical ICU setting
• Familiarity with oncology patient care and chemotherapy administration protocols
