Schedule / Job Type
• Night shifts, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
Key Responsibilities
• Provide specialized perioperative nursing care for cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and transplant surgery cases
• Assist with scrub and circulating duties for complex surgical procedures including open and endovascular vascular surgeries, transplants (liver, kidney, pancreas), and Whipple procedures
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain excellent patient care within a Level 1 Trauma Facility
• Collaborate with surgical teams to support intraoperative activities and patient management
• Float within the service line to meet hospital needs, ensuring proper coverage during rotations and call shifts
Required Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of scrub experience in cardiac, thoracic, or vascular surgery; 1 year accepted with Level 1 Trauma experience
• Current RN license in Missouri or eligible via compact license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to work night shifts and participate in rotating schedules
• Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts and handle on-call responsibilities as scheduled
Preferred Experience / Skills
• Prior experience with transplant and Whipple procedures highly desirable
• Strong understanding of vascular (open and endovascular) and complex cardiac cases
• Experience in a high-volume, Level 1 Trauma Center preferred
• BSN degree preferred
