Contract | Rotating Shifts | Onsite | 8-hour shifts with various start times (0645, 1045, 1445) | Call requirements include approximately once per week on weeknights, every 3rd to 4th weekend, and holidays

Key Responsibilities

• Provide skilled perioperative nursing care across a high-volume OR environment handling 25–45 cases per day across 15 operating suites
• Support a wide range of surgical specialties including general, GYN, urology, plastics, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, spine, EENT, and cardiothoracic procedures
• Perform scrubbing duties as required in addition to circulating responsibilities
• Collaborate with surgical techs, CNAs, and charge RN staff to ensure safe, efficient room turnover and patient care
• Document patient care accurately using the Epic EMR system
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled, including weeknight, weekend, and holiday call assignments

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association required
• Minimum of 3 years of OR nursing experience
• Ability to comply with a drug-free campus policy, including a negative drug screen for all panels
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for standard contract rates

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience scrubbing across multiple surgical specialties
• Familiarity with Epic EMR
• Experience working in a high-volume, multi-specialty OR setting
