Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a 1:6 patient ratio
• Operate as part of a Resource Float Pool, with the ability to float to other units or a secondary campus based on facility needs
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms; administer and manage medications in accordance with unit protocols
• Fulfill on-call requirements, including holiday coverage, and complete a minimum of 2 on-call or 2 additional shifts per 6-week period
• Adhere to facility attendance policy, ensuring no more than two unexcused absences per 13-week contract period

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in South Carolina or a pending license obtained prior to start date
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience; 2 years preferred
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Must pass a Cardiac Dysrhythmia Test and Medication Test on the first day of orientation (one attempt allowed)
• Must be able to meet facility fit testing requirements, which may include shaving
• Candidate must reside more than 75 miles from the facility (local candidates are not accepted)

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC electronic health records system
• Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
