Contract | Full-Time | Onsite | Day Shift (Monday–Friday, 5x8 Hours, 9:00–17:30) | Weekend rotation required (every 6th full weekend, 7:30–16:00)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services to adult patients in a short-term acute care setting
• Perform assessments and interventions for patients with hip fractures, total hip replacements, knee injuries, and total knee replacements
• Recommend, fit, and train patients in the use of adaptive equipment
• Perform patient lifting and transfers safely and effectively
• Conduct patient and family education focused on safety, injury prevention, and functional independence
• Complete thorough and timely clinical documentation and participate in telephone-based care coordination

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of occupational therapy experience; first-time travelers not accepted
• Experience working with adult patient populations required
• Proficiency with adaptive equipment, hip and knee replacement protocols, and lifting/transfer techniques required
• Active state Occupational Therapist license (pending licensure considered for applicable state submissions)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Must reside outside a 75-mile radius of the facility location

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC electronic health records system
• Familiarity with short-term acute care environments
