Summary
iDEAL HIRE is seeking a passionate Kindergarten General Education Teacher for our client, a growing founding school located in Decatur, Georgia. This full-time role offers an engaging opportunity to lead culturally responsive, project-based learning and inspire young learners in a supportive environment. The position offers a competitive starting pay rate of $40/hr, working Monday through Friday, with flexible scheduling from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

What You'll Be Doing
- Design and deliver engaging, culturally responsive instruction across core subjects including math and Humanities.
- Create a positive, identity-affirming classroom culture grounded in restorative practices and high expectations.
- Collaborate with peers on curriculum planning, assessment analysis, and instructional strategies to ensure continuous improvement.
- Partner with students and families to develop Learning Partnership Plans aimed at academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Communicate regularly with families about student progress through various channels (phone, email, Dojo).
- Implement school-wide restorative and culturally affirming initiatives to foster a supportive community.
- Participate actively in professional learning, coaching, and school-wide initiatives to support school growth.
- Support diverse student needs across different settings, including outdoor spaces and therapy rooms.

What We're Looking For
- Licensure: Valid GA teaching certification in General Education K-12 or K-5.
- Experience: Minimum of three years of general education teaching experience, preferably with Kindergarten-aged students.
- Skills: Strong classroom management, behavioral support, and culturally relevant, project-based instruction skills.
- Qualifications: Proven ability to build a supportive and inclusive classroom environment centered on identity affirmation and restorative practices.

Preferred Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or a related field.
- Demonstrated success in Kindergarten instruction and curriculum development.
- A commitment to growth, collaboration, and equity in education.

Other Requirements
- Ability to work in various instructional settings, including outdoor or therapy environments.
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development, coaching, and school initiatives.
- Physical ability to meet the demands of the role, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
