Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:30) | 36 Guaranteed Hours per Week
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a Step Down Unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Perform titration of vasopressors, sedation medications, and insulin drips
- Manage patients requiring trach vents, arterial lines, external pacemakers, and chest tubes
- Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records
- Float to lower-acuity floors within service line as needed to meet facility staffing needs
- Fulfill weekend requirement of 2 shifts every other weekend (Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday depending on rotation)
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license in Missouri or a qualifying compact state (must match permanent residence); pending MO license submissions accepted
- Minimum 2 years of Step Down or comparable acute care RN experience
- ACLS certification required
- BLS/BCLS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Must have been actively practicing at the bedside within the last 6 months
- Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
Preferred Experience / Skills
- Prior experience with vasopressor titration and hemodynamic monitoring in a step down or ICU-adjacent setting
- Familiarity with EPIC charting system
- Experience managing tracheostomy, ventilator, and chest tube patients
