Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Friday – Sunday | 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist in a high-acuity cardiovascular and thoracic surgical environment, including cases such as CABG, valve replacements, aortic dissection repair, TAVR, TEVAR, EVAR, and heart and lung transplants
• Receive pump lines from perfusion and prepare them for cannulation
• Support vascular procedures including AAA repair, carotid endarterectomy, atherectomy, and femoral popliteal bypass grafting
• Assist with robotic-assisted and laparoscopic cardiac surgery cases
• Participate in on-call coverage as required by the department schedule (approximately 90–120 hours of call per 6-week schedule)
• Float within the hospital or to affiliate facilities as required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR surgical technologist experience
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience required (first-time travelers accepted with Level 1 Trauma experience)
• Active NBSTSA certification required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required
• Experience with vascular and thoracic surgery cases required
• Indiana residents are considered local and are accepted for this Surgical Services position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) implantation and management
• Familiarity with robotic-assisted cardiac surgery platforms
• Experience with heart and lung transplant cases
• Background in both open and endovascular aortic repair techniques
