Registered Nurse – IMC/PCU/Stepdown (Nights)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Holiday Support Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 10-bed ICU/PCU overflow unit with patient ratios of 2:1 (ICU) and 4–5:1 (PCU)
• Perform and support advanced hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
• Administer critical care pharmacology including IV sedation, paralytics, and vasopressors
• Manage central lines and assist providers with bedside procedures such as chest tube insertion and intubations
• Conduct bedside shift reports (mandatory) and perform nurse leader rounding when serving as relief charge nurse
• Float to other units as required per facility floating policy

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• Minimum 2+ years of experience in a Medical ICU setting, preferably within a large facility
• Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring and ventilator management
• Experience with Cerner documentation system preferred; must be adaptable to electronic health record platforms

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Targeted Temperature Management (TTM) and advanced life support equipment
• Background in critical care pharmacology including management of IV sedation, paralytics, and vasopressors
• Demonstrated ability to serve in a relief charge nurse capacity
• Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a team
